Zuni and Navajo Jewelry (Vintage)

For some, Native American jewelry, vintage (pre-1970s) Zuñi necklaces and Navajo jewelry, like bracelets, are nonpareil. Although somewhat crudely made (all natural stones with color variations and less precise stone cuts and fittings, or irregular bezels) there is nonetheless an elegance and charm of times past.  Heirloom (hard to find) Native American jewelry, vintage Zuñi necklace and Navajo bracelets have a timeless quality. The demand for quality old Native American jewelry continues to be a quest for many collectors.   There is also a resurgence in native jewelry from the 70s – a period of large showy necklaces, bracelets and belts.

Very few quality pieces of older Native American jewelry, vintage Zuñi necklaces and Navajo bracelets are available. Most squash blossom necklaces are treasured and passed down through the generations. Only occasionally are private collections offered for sale. Brooches, and bracelets with natural stones are highly-prized.
