Very large and bold pieces of natural turquoise were used in Navajo vintage jewelry, Zuñi necklaces, cuff bracelets, large concho belts, bolo ties and neckwear. This is a selection from our collection of Navajo vintage jewelry.
Compared to the present, there were very few Navajo vintage jewelry and Zuñi pieces made even as late as the 1970s. There were fewer jewelers, making fewer necklaces, bracelets and bolo tie pieces. The quality and richness of the natural turquoise stones, the now naturally ‘patinaed’ colorations add to the aura of craftsmanship that have become family heirloom Native American jewelry.
